Biography
Michael Socha is an English actor. Born in Derby, Derbyshire, he trained with the Chellaston Youth Players and attended St Benedict Catholic School in Derby.
Socha's breakthrough came with the role of Harvey in Shane Meadows's This Is England (2006) and its sequels This Is England '86 (2010), This Is England '88 and This Is England '90. He is also known for playing Tom McNair in the BBC Three series Being Human (2011–2013), Will Scarlet/Knave of Hearts in Once Upon a Time in Wonderland (2013–2014), and Mikhail in the miniseries Chernobyl (2019). Other credits include Papillon (2017), Time (2021) and The Keeper (2018).
He has appeared in recent series including Showtrial (2024), DI Ray (2024), Toxic Town (2025) as Peter and What It Feels Like for a Girl (2025) as Steve. He is the older brother of actress Lauren Socha.
