Biography

Miguel Sandoval is an American actor and director. He was born on 16 November 1951 in Washington, D.C.

Sandoval began his professional acting career in 1975 after studying pantomime in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He has appeared in films including Do the Right Thing (1989), Jurassic Park (1993), Clear and Present Danger (1994) and Blow (2001). On television he is known for recurring roles as D.A. Manuel Devalos in Medium (2005–2011) and as Pruitt Herrera in Station 19 (2018–2020), as well as Secretary of State Miguel Ganon in The Diplomat (2023–).

He has collaborated frequently with directors Alex Cox and Spike Lee, and has also directed episodes of Medium.
