Biography

Peter Aalbæk Jensen is a Danish film producer. Born on 8 April 1956 in Osted, he graduated from the National Film School of Denmark in 1987. In 1992 he co-founded the production company Zentropa with director Lars von Trier.

He produced Breaking the Waves (1996) and has served as executive producer on numerous films, including Dancer in the Dark (2000), Dogville (2003), Antichrist (2009), Melancholia (2011) and the Nymphomaniac films (2013). He has also produced work by other directors, such as The Salvation (2014).

In 2001 Jensen received an honorary Bodil Award, shared with producers Vibeke Windeløv and Ib Tardini, for his contributions to Danish cinema.
