Biography

Peter Casey is an American television writer and producer. He graduated from San Francisco State University in 1975 with a B.A. in radio and television.

With writing partner David Lee, he contributed scripts to The Jeffersons (1975) and later joined the writing staff of Cheers (1982). The pair formed Grub Street Productions with David Angell; together they created and executive-produced the sitcoms Wings (1990) and Frasier (1993). Casey served as executive producer on all 263 episodes of the original Frasier series and is credited as an original series creator on the 2023 revival. He has won seven Primetime Emmy Awards.
