Rami Malek is an American actor. He was born on 12 May 1981 in Torrance, California. He studied drama at the University of Evansville in Indiana, graduating in 2003.

Malek first gained recognition for his role as Elliot Alderson in the television series Mr. Robot (2015–2019), for which he received a Primetime Emmy Award. He portrayed Freddie Mercury in the film Bohemian Rhapsody (2018), winning the Academy Award for Best Actor. His other credits include the Night at the Museum film trilogy (2006–2014) and the role of David Hill in Oppenheimer (2023).
