Biography

Richard Bruno was an American costume designer whose credits include Raging Bull (1980) and GoodFellas (1990). He also worked on Heaven Can Wait (1978), The Color of Money (1986) and The King of Comedy (1983).

Bruno began his career in the 1950s at American International Pictures and later served as wardrobe supervisor on films including Westworld (1973) and Chinatown (1974). He collaborated repeatedly with director Martin Scorsese and actor Robert De Niro. He won the BAFTA Award for Best Costume Design for GoodFellas in 1990. Bruno died in Port Townsend, Washington, on 11 January 2012.
