Biography
Samuel Hadida (17 December 1953 – 26 November 2018) was a Moroccan-born French film producer and distributor. Born in Casablanca, he graduated from the University of Paris and, in 1978, co-founded the distribution company Metropolitan Filmexport with his brother Victor. In 1990 he established Davis Films, through which he produced more than thirty international features.
His first production for Davis Films was True Romance (1993). He went on to produce Resident Evil (2002) and its sequels, as well as Silent Hill (2006) and Brotherhood of the Wolf (2001). He also served as co-executive producer or co-producer on titles including The Hitman's Bodyguard (2017), The Expendables 3 (2014) and Rambo: Last Blood (2019). Hadida died in Santa Monica, California, after a short illness.
