Biography
Sara Stewart is a Scottish actress. She appeared as Jenny in the first series of the Channel 4 comedy Drop the Dead Donkey (1990) and as Gaynor Mason in an episode of the BBC drama Ashes to Ashes (2008).
Her film roles include Martha Wayne in Batman Begins (2005), Viviane's mother in Transformers: The Last Knight (2017), and Brenda Ellis in Empire of Light (2022). On television she has appeared in Doctor Who (2005), The Night Manager (2016), Philomena (2013) and The Princess Switch (2018). Her stage credits include productions at the National Theatre, the Royal Court and the Donmar Warehouse.
She holds dual British and American citizenship and was married to actor Aden Gillett.
