Biography

Stan Salfas is an American film and television editor. He has been active since the mid-1980s and is a member of the American Cinema Editors (ACE).

Salfas began his career in New York before moving to Los Angeles. He edited The Underneath (1995) and collaborated with director Matt Reeves on The Pallbearer (1996). He later served as supervising editor and occasional director on the series Felicity (1998–2001).

With William Hoy, Salfas won Satellite Awards for Best Editing for Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (2014) and War for the Planet of the Apes (2017). His other credits include Let Me In (2010), Chernobyl Diaries (2012), Now You See Me 2 (2016), Venom: Let There Be Carnage (2021) and The Deliverance (2024).
