Biography
Stephanie Beatriz is an American actress and singer. She was born Stephanie Beatriz Bischoff Alvizuri on 10 February 1981 in Neuquén, Argentina, and moved to the United States as a child. She graduated with a BFA from Stephens College in 2002 and began her career in regional theatre.
Beatriz is known for playing Detective Rosa Diaz in the series Brooklyn Nine-Nine (2013–2021) and for voicing Mirabel Madrigal in the film Encanto (2021). Her film credits include the role of Jessica in Short Term 12 (2013) and Carla in In the Heights (2021). She has also provided voices for animated projects including Ice Age: Collision Course (2016), The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part (2019) and Hazbin Hotel (2024).
She has directed an episode of Brooklyn Nine-Nine and appeared in guest roles on series such as Modern Family.
