Biography
Keith David is an American actor. Born Keith David Williams on 4 June 1956 in Harlem, New York City, he trained at the High School of Performing Arts and graduated from the Juilliard School with a BFA in 1979. He began his career in theatre, touring with John Houseman's Acting Company.
David has appeared in films including The Thing (1982), Platoon (1986), There's Something About Mary (1998) as Charlie Jensen, Requiem for a Dream (2000), Armageddon (1998) and The Nice Guys (2016). He has also worked extensively in voice acting for animation, video games and narration, including Emmy-winning work on Ken Burns documentaries such as The War (2007).
