Biography
Steven Robman is an American television and theatre director and producer. He graduated from the University of California, Berkeley in 1966 and the Yale School of Drama in 1973. He served as Artistic Director of the Phoenix Theatre in New York from 1980 to 1982 and has directed stage productions at venues including the Manhattan Theatre Club, Long Wharf Theatre and the Guthrie Theater.
Robman has directed more than 100 hours of television, including episodes of thirtysomething (1987), Northern Exposure (1990), Law & Order (1990), Party of Five (1994) — for which he also served as producer — and Gilmore Girls (2000). He has been married to actress Kathy Baker since 2003.
