Biography
Steven Jay Schneider is an American film producer, author and former critic, best known for his work in the horror genre. Born in New York City on 25 January 1974, he holds master's degrees in philosophy from the University of London and in cinema studies from New York University.
Schneider co-founded Spooky Pictures with producer Roy Lee. He produced Paranormal Activity (2007) and Insidious (2010), and served as executive producer on several entries in both franchises as well as on Split (2016), Glass (2019) and Old (2021). His other producing credits include Pet Sematary (2019), Late Night with the Devil (2023) and The Long Walk (2025).
