Biography
Tom Cross is an American film and television editor. He graduated with a BFA in visual arts from the State University of New York at Purchase in 1993 and began his career as an assistant editor on projects including commercials, We Own the Night (2007), Crazy Heart (2009) and the series Deadwood.
Cross is known for his frequent collaborations with director Damien Chazelle. He won the Academy Award for Best Film Editing, as well as BAFTA and Independent Spirit Awards, for Whiplash (2014). His other credits include La La Land (2016), First Man (2018), No Time to Die (2021), Babylon (2022) and Michael (2026).
