Biography

Ryan Gosling is a Canadian actor and producer. He began his acting career as a child, appearing on the Disney Channel series The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1993–1995) and in teen dramas including Breaker High (1997–1998) and Young Hercules (1998–1999). His feature film debut came in Frankenstein and Me (1996), followed by a supporting role in Remember the Titans (2000). He received early praise for The Believer (2001) and emerged as a leading man with his performance in The Notebook (2004).

Gosling has starred in films including Half Nelson (2006), Lars and the Real Girl (2007), Blue Valentine (2010), Drive (2011), Crazy, Stupid, Love. (2011), The Ides of March (2011), The Big Short (2015), The Nice Guys (2016), La La Land (2016), Blade Runner 2049 (2017), First Man (2018) and Barbie (2023), in which he played Ken. He produced and starred as Colt Seavers in The Fall Guy (2024) and as Ryland Grace in Project Hail Mary (2026). He earned Academy Award nominations for Half Nelson, La La Land and Barbie. Gosling made his directorial debut with Lost River (2014).
