Biography
Tony Dow was an American actor and director. Born Anthony Lee Dow on 13 April 1945 in Los Angeles, California, he died on 27 July 2022 in Topanga, California. He was best known for playing Wally Cleaver, the older brother in the television sitcom Leave It to Beaver (1957–1963). He reprised the role in the 1983 television film Still the Beaver and the series The New Leave It to Beaver (1985–1989).
Dow later worked as a director on several television series. His credits include episodes of Coach, Harry and the Hendersons, Babylon 5 (1994) and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (1993). He also served as visual effects supervisor on Babylon 5 and worked as a producer and sculptor.
