Biography

Troy Miller is an American film director, producer, screenwriter and cinematographer. Active since 1981, he founded Dakota Pictures and has directed and produced numerous comedy television series and specials.

He directed episodes of Arrested Development (2003), serving as executive producer and co-director on seasons four and five. His other television directing credits include episodes of The Office (2005), Parks and Recreation (2009), Flight of the Conchords (2007), Brooklyn Nine-Nine (2013), New Girl (2011) and The Goldbergs (2013).

Miller directed the feature films Jack Frost (1998) and Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd (2003), the latter of which he also co-wrote. He has produced and directed comedy specials and opening films for the Academy Awards and MTV Movie Awards, and has received two Primetime Emmy Awards and more than twenty nominations.
