Vivica A. Fox is an American actress. Born on 30 July 1964 in South Bend, Indiana, she began her career with roles on the daytime soap operas Days of Our Lives and Generations, and appeared in the NBC sitcom Out All Night.

Her breakthrough came in 1996 with roles in the films Independence Day and Set It Off. She is known for playing Vernita Green, also called Copperhead, in Kill Bill: Vol. 1 (2003) and Kill Bill: Vol. 2 (2004). Other film credits include Soul Food (1997), Batman & Robin (1997) and Ella Enchanted (2004). She has also appeared in television series including Missing, for which she received an NAACP Image Award, and made her directorial debut with First Lady of BMF: The Tonesa Welch Story.
