Biography
Bennie E. Dobbins, also credited as Bennie Dobbins or Benny Dobbins, was an American actor, stuntman, stunt coordinator and second unit director.
He began his career in the late 1950s with an uncredited role as an outlaw in Ride Lonesome (1959). He appeared in supporting or uncredited parts in films including The Boston Strangler (1968), Tora! Tora! Tora! (1970), The Life and Times of Judge Roy Bean (1972) and 48 Hrs. (1982), as well as television series such as The Green Hornet (1966) and The Six Million Dollar Man (1974).
Dobbins coordinated stunts on numerous 1980s films including Ferris Bueller's Day Off (1986), The Running Man (1987), Planes, Trains and Automobiles (1987) and Extreme Prejudice (1987). He died in Vienna, Austria, in 1988 while working on Red Heat.
