Biography
Bill Strutton was an Australian screenwriter and novelist. Born in South Australia, he worked as a journalist in London after the Second World War before turning to fiction and television in the late 1950s.
He wrote for more than fifteen British television series over eleven years. His credits include the 1958 Ivanhoe series starring Roger Moore, episodes of The Avengers in 1961, The Saint in 1962 and 1963, and the Doctor Who serial The Web Planet in 1965, which he later novelised as Doctor Who and the Zarbi. He contributed to Paul Temple and other series before retiring after a heart attack in 1978.
Strutton died on 23 November 2003 in Catalonia, Spain.
