Biography

Bob Shaw is an American production designer and art director. He served as production designer on the HBO series The Sopranos (1999–2007) for 53 episodes and designed the pilot of Mad Men (2007).

A New Jersey native and half-Italian American, Shaw studied at the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn. He began his career in theatre before transitioning to film and television, where he collaborated with Martin Scorsese on The Wolf of Wall Street (2013) and The Irishman (2019).

Shaw received an Academy Award nomination for Best Production Design for The Irishman (2019, shared). He has won three Primetime Emmy Awards and received additional nominations for his work on The Sopranos, Mad Men, Boardwalk Empire and The Gilded Age.
