Biography

Brian Kavanaugh-Jones is a film producer. He graduated from UC Santa Cruz with a degree in fine arts and began his career as an agent at Creative Artists Agency before founding the production company Automatik.

His credits include Paranormal Activity (2007), Insidious (2010), Take Shelter (2011), Sinister (2012) and its sequel, multiple entries in the Insidious series, Upgrade (2018), The Bikeriders (2024) and Longlegs (2024). He has frequently collaborated with director Jeff Nichols.

Kavanaugh-Jones later partnered with Fred Berger at Range Media Partners and has more recently joined Oddfellows as partner and co-president. He is married to filmmaker Shana Feste.
