Biography
Brie Larson, born Brianne Sidonie Desaulniers on 1 October 1989 in Sacramento, California, is an American actress. She began acting as a child, appearing in a sketch on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno in 1998 and as a regular on the sitcom Raising Dad (2001–2002). She trained at the American Conservatory Theater from the age of six.
Larson gained recognition for supporting roles in films including Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (2010), 21 Jump Street (2012) and Trainwreck (2015). Her performance in the independent drama Room (2015) earned her the Academy Award for Best Actress. She has since starred as Carol Danvers / Captain Marvel in Captain Marvel (2019), Avengers: Endgame (2019) and The Marvels (2023), and voiced Rosalina in The Super Mario Galaxy Movie (2026). She also received a Golden Globe Award and a Primetime Emmy Award.
