Biography
Bronwyn James is an English actress. She trained at CAPA College in Wakefield and graduated from the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts with a BA in acting in 2015.
James made her professional debut originating the role of Shirley in the National Theatre production of Hangmen (2015). She had a recurring role as Fanny Lambert in the series Harlots (2017–2019) and appeared in films including Apostasy (2017), Peterloo (2018), The Dig (2021) and The Colour Room (2021), as well as television series such as Outlander (2020), Ghosts (2019) and Lockwood & Co. (2023).
She is known for playing Shenshen in the films Wicked (2024) and Wicked: For Good (2025), and Ruffnut Thorston in How to Train Your Dragon (2025). She has also appeared in Mickey 17 (2025) and Masters of the Air (2024).
