Biography
Celia D. Costas is an American film and television producer. She began her career in the late 1970s as a production assistant and location manager on films including Sophie's Choice (1982) and The Cotton Club (1984), later advancing to unit production manager and line producer roles on titles such as Sleepy Hollow (1999) and Meet Joe Black (1998).
She has served as producer or executive producer on numerous projects, including the HBO miniseries Angels in America (2003), for which she won a Primetime Emmy Award and a Producers Guild of America Award, and the television film Warm Springs (2005), which earned her a second Emmy. Other credits include executive producer on Closer (2004), The Intern (2015), The Girl on the Train (2016), A Quiet Place (2018), tick, tick... BOOM! (2021) and A Man Called Otto (2022). She is a member of the advisory board of the Feirstein Graduate School of Cinema at Brooklyn College.
