Biography
Charles McDougall is a British television and film director. He trained at the National Film and Television School in Beaconsfield and began directing episodes of British series including Casualty, Between the Lines and Cracker.
He directed four episodes and co-created the Channel 4 series Queer as Folk (1999). His work on American television includes episodes of Sex and the City, the pilot of Desperate Housewives (for which he won a Primetime Emmy), The Office, House of Cards, The Tudors and The Good Wife. He has also directed the films Heart (1999) and Ana (2020).
McDougall was born in Liverpool and has worked as an executive producer on series including Julia and Three Little Birds.
