Biography
Christopher Abbott is an American actor. Born on 10 February 1986 in Greenwich, Connecticut, he made his feature film debut in Martha Marcy May Marlene (2011) and his Broadway debut in the revival of The House of Blue Leaves.
He gained recognition for his role in the HBO series Girls. His film credits include A Most Violent Year (2014), It Comes at Night (2017), First Man (2018), Poor Things (2023) as Alfie Blessington, Kraven the Hunter (2024) as The Foreigner, Wolf Man (2025) as Blake, and The Testament of Ann Lee (2025) as Abraham Standerin. He has also appeared in the series The Sinner and Catch-22.
Abbott received an Independent Spirit Award nomination for James White (2015) and a Golden Globe Award nomination for Catch-22 (2019). In 2026 he was nominated for the Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Play for portraying Biff Loman in the Broadway revival of Death of a Salesman.
