Biography
Cobie Smulders, born Jacoba Francisca Maria Smulders, is a Canadian actress. She is known for her role as Robin Scherbatsky in the television series How I Met Your Mother (2005–2014) and as S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Maria Hill in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, beginning with the film The Avengers (2012).
Smulders made her Broadway debut in the 2017 revival of Noël Coward’s Present Laughter, for which she received a Theatre World Award. Her other film credits include Jack Reacher: Never Go Back (2016) and voice work in The Lego Movie (2014).
