Biography

Colin Stinton (born 10 March 1947) is a Canadian and American actor. Born in Calgary, Alberta, he moved to the United States as a child and was educated at Northern Illinois University. He began his career in Chicago theatre, where he collaborated frequently with playwright David Mamet, before moving to New York in 1978 and to London in 1985.

Stinton is known for film and television roles including Teddy Mayer in Rush (2013), Neal Daniels in The Bourne Ultimatum (2007), Inspector Rogers in The Machinist (2004), and President Arthur Winters in Doctor Who (2005). He has also appeared in Tomorrow Never Dies (1997), Closer (2004), Wonder Woman 1984 (2020), The Queen's Gambit (2020) and Hunter Killer (2018). He is a Joseph Jefferson Award winner and a Drama Desk Award nominee.
