Biography

Connie Inge-Lise Nielsen is a Danish actress. She was born on 3 July 1965 in Frederikshavn, Denmark, and grew up in the village of Elling. She began her career working with her mother on the local revue and variety scene. At the age of 18 she moved to Paris, where she worked as an actress and model.

Nielsen is known for her role as Lucilla in Gladiator (2000) and its sequel Gladiator II (2024). She has also played Queen Hippolyta in the DC Extended Universe films Wonder Woman (2017), Justice League (2017), Wonder Woman 1984 (2020) and Zack Snyder's Justice League (2021). Other credits include The Devil's Advocate (1997), Nobody (2021) and Nymphomaniac: Vol. I (2013). She is fluent in Danish, English, French, German, Italian, Norwegian and Swedish.
