Biography
Dale Dye is an American actor and military technical advisor. A veteran of the United States Marine Corps who served in the Vietnam War, he retired as a captain in 1984 and founded Warriors, Inc., a company providing military training and advisory services to film and television productions.
Dye has appeared in numerous films, including Platoon (1986) as Captain Harris, Always (1989) as the Fire Boss, Born on the Fourth of July (1989), Mission: Impossible (1996), Starship Troopers (1997), Saving Private Ryan (1998) and Band of Brothers (2001) as Colonel Robert F. Sink. He has also worked as a technical advisor on several of these and other productions.
