Biography

David Solomon is an American television director and producer. He is best known for his extensive work on the series Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997–2003), where he directed 19 episodes and held producing roles including co-producer, producer and co-executive producer across all 144 episodes.

Earlier in his career Solomon worked as an editor and producer on several Perry Mason television films. He has directed episodes of numerous other series including Firefly (2002), Las Vegas (2004–2005), Chuck (2007), Fringe (2008), Once Upon a Time (2011), Grimm (2011), Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (2013) and Star Trek: Discovery (2017). In 2002 he won an Online Film & Television Association Award for Best Direction in a Drama Series for Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
