Biography
David Sterne is an English actor. Born in 1946, he left the British Army and trained at the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art. A former member of the Royal Shakespeare Company, he has worked in television, film and radio for over 40 years.
He appeared in The Vicar of Dibley (1994). His film roles include the Retired Knight in A Knight's Tale (2001), a Ministry Wizard in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005), the Edinburgh Cook in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest (2006), and Keffers in Never Let Me Go (2010). On television he played Larry Bishop in Detectorists (2014) and has appeared in Sister Boniface Mysteries.
