Biography
Dee Johnson is an American television writer and producer. She began her career writing for the Fox series Melrose Place in the mid-1990s and went on to write 19 episodes of ER, for which she received a Humanitas Prize nomination in 2005.
Johnson has served as a writer and producer on series including Southland, The Good Wife, Boss, Rizzoli & Isles and Nashville, where she was executive producer and showrunner for the first four seasons. She was an executive producer on the 2023 miniseries Fellow Travelers, which won a Peabody Award. Her production company is Small Wishes Productions. She is showrunner and executive producer on the 2026 Netflix limited series His & Hers, for which she also wrote one episode.
