Biography
Dolly Wells is an English actress and writer. Born Dorothy Perpetua Gatacre on 5 December 1971 in Merton, London, she is the daughter of comic actor John Wells and has a cousin, actress Anna Chancellor.
She trained at the University of Manchester and began her career with guest roles in British television series. Wells is known for her performances in Bridget Jones's Diary (2001) as Woney, 45 Years (2015) as Sally, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies (2016) as Mrs Featherstone, and Can You Ever Forgive Me? (2018) as Anna. She co-wrote and starred in the series Doll & Em (2013–2015) with Emily Mortimer, and wrote and directed the film Good Posture (2019).
