Biography
Don Reo is an American television writer and producer. Born in Rhode Island in 1946, he began his career writing jokes for stand-up comedians before entering television writing rooms in the late 1960s.
He contributed to series including Rowan & Martin’s Laugh-In, Sanford and Son, All in the Family, The Mary Tyler Moore Show (1970), MASH, Rhoda and The Golden Girls. Reo created or co-created Blossom (1990), The John Larroquette Show, My Wife and Kids (2001), Rodney and The Ranch (2016), and served as showrunner on Two and a Half Men*.
In 2026 he received the Writers Guild of America West Paddy Chayefsky Laurel Award for Television Writing Achievement.
