Biography
Douglas Hodge is an English actor, director and musician. Born in Plymouth, Devon, he trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art.
He has appeared in the television series The Night Manager (2016) as Rex Mayhew, Black Mirror (2017) as Rolo Haynes, Penny Dreadful (2014–2016) as Bartholomew Rusk and The Great (2020–2023). Film roles include Alfred Pennyworth in Joker (2019) and Jack Willis in Gemini Man (2019). He is also credited as Reginald in the 2024 film We Live in Time and as Blake in the forthcoming series Legends (2026).
Hodge has an extensive stage career, winning Tony and Olivier Awards for his performance in the Broadway and West End productions of La Cage aux Folles.
