Biography
Eileen Davies (born 23 September 1948) is an English actress from Hastings, East Sussex. She has worked in film and television since the 1970s.
Davies played Carol in the 2012 film Sightseers, receiving a nomination for Best Supporting Actress at the British Independent Film Awards. Her other film roles include appearances in Vera Drake (2004), Bright Star (2009), Another Year (2010), The Theory of Everything (2014), Mr. Turner (2014), Mr. Holmes (2015), High-Rise (2015) and Allelujah (2022). On television she has appeared in EastEnders as Joan Murfield and in three roles in Coronation Street.
