Biography
Erik Sommers is an American screenwriter, television writer and producer. He began his career on the production staff of the sitcom Stark Raving Mad (1999) and later worked as a writer and producer on series including American Dad!, Community, Happy Endings and Dr. Ken.
Sommers frequently collaborates with Chris McKenna. Their joint screenwriting credits include The Lego Batman Movie (2017), Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (2017), Ant-Man and the Wasp (2018), Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017), Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019), Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021) and Spider-Man: Brand New Day (2026). He has also received writing credit on the film Ghosted (2023).
