Biography
Fisher Stevens is an American actor, director, producer and writer. Born Stephen Fisher in Chicago in 1963, he moved to New York at the age of 13 to pursue acting. He studied with Uta Hagen and began his career in stage productions before making his film debut in The Burning (1981).
As an actor he is known for roles in Short Circuit (1986) and Short Circuit 2 (1988), several Wes Anderson films including The Grand Budapest Hotel (2014), Isle of Dogs (2018) and The French Dispatch (2021), and television series such as Early Edition (1996–2000), The Blacklist (2015–2022) and Succession (2019–2023). He has also worked as a documentary filmmaker, producing the Academy Award-winning The Cove (2009). He appears as Dr. Dave Watson in Song Sung Blue (2025).
