Biography

Gary B. Kibbe was an American cinematographer. He was born on 9 January 1941 in Los Angeles, California, and died on 9 March 2020 in Burbank, California.

Kibbe worked as a camera operator on films including Big Trouble in Little China (1986) and Stand by Me (1986) before becoming director of photography on several John Carpenter projects. These included Prince of Darkness (1987), They Live (1988), In the Mouth of Madness (1994), Village of the Damned (1995), Escape from L.A. (1996), Vampires (1998) and Ghosts of Mars (2001), as well as segments of the anthology Body Bags (1993). He was a member of the American Society of Cinematographers.
