Biography
Gary D. Roach, sometimes credited as Gary Roach, is an American film editor. He began his career in 1996 as an apprentice editor on Clint Eastwood's Absolute Power and worked as an assistant editor on several subsequent Eastwood films before becoming a co-editor with Joel Cox on Letters from Iwo Jima (2006).
Roach received his first solo editor credit on Rails & Ties (2007). He has shared editing duties with Cox on multiple Eastwood projects, including Changeling (2008) and Gran Torino (2008), and edited Prisoners (2013) for Denis Villeneuve. His other credits include American Sniper (2014), Wind River (2017) and episodes of the series Yellowstone (2018–2021). Roach and Cox were nominated for a BAFTA Award for Changeling and an Academy Award for American Sniper.
