Biography
Gerard Horan is a British actor. Born Gerard James Pertwee Horan on 11 November 1962 in Stockport, Cheshire, he trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, graduating in 1983.
He is known for playing Terry Seymour in the comedy drama series Detectorists (2014–2022) and Leslie "Charisma" Appleby in London's Burning (1986–1989 and 1994). Early television credits include Reginald in the miniseries The Singing Detective (1986). Horan has appeared in films including My Beautiful Laundrette (1985), Much Ado About Nothing (1993), Mary Shelley's Frankenstein (1994), Cinderella (2015), Beauty and the Beast (2017), Murder on the Orient Express (2017) and Belfast (2021). He has worked frequently with director Kenneth Branagh.
