Biography
Glen Scantlebury is an American film editor, director and screenwriter. Born on 11 July 1955 in Annandale, Virginia, he attended Virginia Commonwealth University and began his career editing experimental music videos in the early 1980s.
He was among the first editors to cut feature films on video, starting with the 1988 Tom Waits concert film Big Time, and later worked for five years at Zoetrope Studios. Scantlebury has edited numerous action and horror films, including Bram Stoker's Dracula (1992), Con Air (1997), Armageddon (1998), Transformers (2007) and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2014). He has collaborated repeatedly with directors Francis Ford Coppola and Michael Bay.
His credits also include The Godfather Part III (1990, additional editing), Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (2001), The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003) and Megalopolis (2024). He joined the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in 2012 and is married to director and screenwriter Lucy Phillips.
