Biography
Ilan Eshkeri is a British composer. He was born on 7 April 1977 in London and studied music and English literature at the University of Leeds. He apprenticed with composers Edward Shearmur and Michael Kamen, and music producer Steve McLaughlin.
Eshkeri composed the scores for Layer Cake (2004, with Lisa Gerrard), Stardust (2007), The Young Victoria (2009), Kick-Ass (2010), Still Alice (2014) and Shaun the Sheep Movie (2015). His television credits include House of Guinness (2025) and, with Matt Bellamy, MobLand (2025). He has also composed for video games including The Sims 4 and Ghost of Tsushima (2020, with Shigeru Umebayashi), and created concert works such as Space Station Earth.
