Biography
Jerry Sohl (1913–2002) was an American science fiction author and television scriptwriter. He worked as a journalist in the Midwest before turning to fiction and screenwriting in the 1950s.
Sohl wrote more than twenty novels, including The Haploids (1952) and The Transcendent Man (1953). His television credits include episodes of Alfred Hitchcock Presents, The Outer Limits, The Invaders and three episodes of Star Trek (one credited under the pseudonym Nathan Butler). He ghostwrote three episodes of The Twilight Zone for Charles Beaumont: "The New Exhibit", "Queen of the Nile" and "Living Doll".
