Biography
Karin Konoval is a Canadian-American actress. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, she moved to Canada as a child and grew up in Edmonton, Alberta, where she trained as a dancer. She graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Arts and later moved to Vancouver to pursue acting.
She is known for her performance-capture role as the orangutan Maurice in Rise of the Planet of the Apes (2011), Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (2014) and War for the Planet of the Apes (2017), as well as guest and recurring appearances in series including The X-Files, Supernatural, The Good Doctor and Snowpiercer. Konoval has received awards for her theatre work and for lead roles in features such as Cable Beach (2004). She is also a painter and writer.
