Biography
Larry J. Franco is an American film producer. He has also worked as an assistant director and actor. Born on 5 April 1949 in Sonora, California, he attended UCLA film school.
Franco began his career in the 1970s as a second assistant director on films including Apocalypse Now (1979). He collaborated frequently with director John Carpenter in the 1980s, serving as associate producer and first assistant director on The Thing (1982) and as producer on several Carpenter films such as Escape from New York (1981).
He has produced or executive produced later films including Batman Returns (1992), Jumanji (1995), Sleepy Hollow (1999), Jurassic Park III (2001), Hulk (2003), Batman Begins (2005), 2012 (2009) and White House Down (2013). Franco was previously married to Jill Russell, sister of actor Kurt Russell.
