Biography

Linus Sandgren is a Swedish cinematographer. He was born on 5 December 1972 in Spånga, Sweden. He is a member of the Swedish Society of Cinematographers (FSF) and the American Society of Cinematographers (ASC).

Sandgren has frequently collaborated with director Damien Chazelle. Their films together include La La Land (2016), for which he received the Academy Award for Best Cinematography, First Man (2018) and Babylon (2022). Other credits include American Hustle (2013), Joy (2015), No Time to Die (2021) and Don't Look Up (2021).

He served as cinematographer on Saltburn (2023) and Jay Kelly (2025).
