Biography
Lorenzo Mieli is an Italian film and television producer and studio executive. He was born on 15 April 1973 in Rome, the son of journalist Paolo Mieli and Francesca Socrate. He graduated in philosophy and aesthetics from Sapienza University of Rome and began his career as an assistant director before founding production companies.
In 2001 he founded Wilder, which produced the series Boris. In 2009 he co-founded Wildside with Mario Gianani. He later served as CEO of Fremantle Italia and in 2020 launched The Apartment Pictures. In 2024 he and Gianani established Our Films under the Mediawan group.
Mieli has produced films including The Mafia Kills Only in Summer (2013), The Hand of God (2021), Bones and All (2022), Priscilla (2023), Challengers (2024, executive producer), Parthenope (2024), Queer (2024) and Maria (2024). His television credits include The Young Pope (2016), My Brilliant Friend and the series Mussolini: Son of the Century (2025).
